I started my 2010 business year with photographs of Taylor and Brooklyn at Union Station. I closed my 2010 year with their Christmas pictures and some casual photos at Crown Center! They were the perfect little models to start and end my year with and what a great year it was! I truly adore how photogenic these girls are. Taylor is great at posing and loves to smile for the camera. Brooklyn was wonderful at the beginning of the year, but wasn't very fond of the camera during out last shoot. I did get some great pictures of her despite her mood. The key is to just let kids like that do their own thing and catch them while they are doing it. This is why I love photography! You can not always pose small children for pictures and that is what makes their pictures so special. There is something to say about a perfect moment or genuine smile captured as it unfolds.
Here are a few of my favorites of the girls at the beginning of the year at Union Station....
Here are some of the Christmas and Crown Center pictures from the end of the year.
On every photo shoot.... the girls bring their Papa! He helps out with making them smile and we always try to get a few with him in the pictures. You can tell the girls absolutely adore this man!

My Great Nephew!
My nephew went to Hawaii to get married and I had the privilege of watching my great nephew while they were away! Mr. Evan has such a personality! He hasn't ever had professional pictures taken and did quite well his first time. I know it is kind of crazy that he hasn't had his pictures taken when his great aunt is a photographer, but I have tried since this child was tiny. His parents just don't bring him to see me enough. LOL! Evan has a smile that will light up a room and acts so much older than he really is! Check out what a great little model he is!

My Assistant!
My cousin, my sister, my best-friend, my assistant..... There are many ways to describe Jennifer. I have known her since she was born and we have been close our entire lives. Now a days... I am the one behind the lens and you will almost always find her behind me... making funny comments, talking in baby voices, or occasionally doing a funny dance. I really don't know where my career would be without Jen! She helps me with almost all of my shoots and is GREAT with the kids! I don't think she gets enough credit for all of the hard work she puts into my business and I hope that someday my business is where I want it to be and she will be on my STEADY payroll! LOL!
I did this little shoot of her family for their Christmas card. Meet her husband (Jason), son (Owen), and chocolate lab (Emma)! I love how these turned out!

Welcome Chase Alexander to the world!
A few weeks before Chase was born, I took pictures of his mommy with her big round belly! Chase has a big sister, Charlie, and she is absolutely adorable so I just knew Chase would be handsome! I love capturing newborns. Sometimes they are time consuming and they like to move just when you get them in the right spot, but when you finally get the shot you are wanting..... it is AMAZING! They are always images that you will want on your wall for a lifetime! I enjoy both venturing out into nature and capturing all their little features in the studio.... so I did a little bit of both with Mr. Chase! I hope you find him as precious as I do! Enjoy!
